Eversince aupair opportunities started, more and more people especially from the 3rd world countries are thinking that this will be their biggest chance to be able to travel and work in rich countries like Europe and America. Honestly, I don’t have any single idea if there are any successful stories about it. If yes, then that will be great isn’t it? When I first heard about it, I instantly registered myself and was hoping that maybe I’ll be able to work 35 hours per week but unfortunately, nothing happened.

Anyway, when there are opportunities coming, some people take advantage of it by scamming the less fortunate one’s especially those people who are really dreaming to travel and earn dollars and euros abroad. Early this week, I got this letter from somebody whose name is Tia Myren and she was so quick to reply my inquiries even the question about visas and other stuffs. At first, I thought that would be a great offer for my aunt who’s dreaming of working as a nanny in UK but then later on realized that her email is indeed a scam. Here are her email:

THE KIDS
Joe is four years, we just enrolled him at a kindergarten school for this
summer.He is
welcoming and though he is young,he has a warm and friendly attitude.he like s
playing a lot
and i do not think you will have any problem with him so far he eats and plays
well.Sarah is
six years old,she’s in her first year in elementary school.She likes
candy,chocolate and
she likes watching cartoon movies.She also likes playing a mother role cos she’s
always with
me in the kitchen.She pays rapt attention to all i do and tries to mimic those
acts she
sees me perform in the kitchen,laundry and other activities.She is very
intelligent and
loves to take after people,this is the more reason i will appreciate someone
with good
qualities to be her aupair so that she doesn’t take to bad influence.Their
father,like me
plays a very active role in their life.Funny enough,Joe is mostly with his dad
except during
meals or
while Sarah is mostly with me in the kitchen.
SCHEDULE
Your job is not a hard one,I do not believe in supervising or monitoring people
to do their
job.I believe people should be giving a free role in whatever they do.So,I
believe you
should be able to perform well without being told.All entails preparing the kids
for school
in the morning,taking Sarah and Joe to the point where the school bus picks them
up to
school.You will have a free period then whereby you can do any vocation or
practice whatever
is at your disposal.Then you help monitor them after they are brought home by
the school
bus,just to make sure they are alright till my arrival from work.
SALARY
You will be entitled to a pay of 2000pounds every month while you will also be
given an
entitlement of 200pound every week for petty expenses which you might need for
yourself.This salary is subject to negotiations for an upward review upon your
arrival.
ROOM
A well furnished Master bed room will be made available for your personal use
soon as you
get here.there will be your personal laptop connected to the internet, TV and
other
necessary gadgets at your disposal.There will be enough privacy for you,i guess
you’ll
really like it.
WHEN TO START
You are free to start as soon as possible,I will appreciate you coming
immediately but any date of your choice will also be welcome.
OFF DAYS
You have every weekend as your off day as i will not be going to work during
weekends except
special overtime.

Hum! sound great i want you to know that you have seen a boss that will do that for you….firstly you are colifiy for the post..And for the visa and working permit i will direct you to travel agency who will do that for you travelprime@live.com contact them and tell them that you are from Mrs Myren familys they will attend to you….and i want you to now that what ever the amount of the processing i will help you with 50% (percent) of it okay so contact them now and get back to me God Bless.

Due to my curiousity, I emailed the travel agency and they sent me this one:

We would get your Visa,work permit, flight ticket, medical insurance, tax clearance and other documents within 10 working days as soon as we receive these information from you .

I’m telling you, the agency responded so fast. When I got the response, I do have an idea already na everything was a scam. As if naman I don’t have any knowledge in applying for a british visa. Who are they fooling? Me? Wais ata to. I even searched for prime travels agency carrying this logo (on the pic). There are prime trave agencys but location is in USA and not in UK and aside from that, of different logo and not the one that existed on this letter. It’s either this person is using the name of the travel agency and created a logo para naman maging true yung dating or either the madame, herself, was the one who actually did all these stuff for her future victims. Yung madame, she got angry when I told her na I’m sending her infos to the british embassy in Philippines (just to freak her out). Why do I have to do it daw when I’ll just transfer to the agency that 700 pounds and everything will be done lolz. Eh lukaret pala sya. Di nya alam sino kinakalaban nya. After that, I sent an email to this so-called travel agency daw and asked for their website, contact infos and an email address carrying their company’s name, dear, I hear nothing from them. TODAY, I got same email from a different Madame and all the contents are actually the same except for the Madame’s name and address. Kaya people, beware and don’t allow any people to fool you around especially when there’s money involved. Imagine you’ll be paying 700 pounds tapos half half daw kayo? This is absolutely not true. Why? Because I got an email from the embassy itself and even got the complete requirements for a working visa going in UK.

Friends, mostly of us are wishing to work in rich countries but let it be in a legal way. It’s for your own sake and safety. Never get desperate and loose hope in life. You wouldn’t loose anything if you’ll be extra careful to yourself especially when there’s money involved. Patience and trust our Almighty Father.

How I wish there’ll be a site where I can easily find a complete lists of jobs in sales available in my area. An english site where I could easily understand the qualifications a company is searching for towards the applicant and other relevant informations in pursuing executive sales careers. That will be very interesting I guess especially for a foreigner like me in this foreign land. Sometimes, searching for a job makes my appetite lesser because mostly of the companies are searching for BAC+4 or 5 niveau. Diploma is very important to them compared to job experience.
